The ice accumulates to a depth of 2.3 cm (about 1.2 inches) by repeated flows of water on the surface.
lower than in the NHL, maybe 5/8ths.

It is very thick at all. NHL.com says that in reality only thick 3 / 4 inches, so I know it well.
